- The annual fab class open house will be held on Tuesday December 15th from 5:00 to 6:30 on the sixth floor of MIT's building E14; come see the progress in projects and processes:
The global version of the class taught in the fab lab network is preparing to start a new cycle with ~100 sites participating:
and has inspired a second distributed class, How To Grow (almost) Anything, led by Harvard's George Church:

This historic event brought participants from 78 countries to MIT's campus over the summer:
Highlights included the leadership of Boston, Somerville, and Cambridge joining Barcelona in committing to a countdown to urban self-sufficiency:

and a Symposium in Symphony Hall that assembled a ten-year look back and forward:
FAB12 will follow in Shenzhen, China from August 8-12 2016, and FAB13 will be held in Santiago, Chile in 2017.
- After FAB11, CBA ran a pop-up lab at the Solutions Summit at the UN General Assembly where the Sustainable Development Goals were launched:
One of the featured solutions was Beno Juarez's presentation of the Amazon floating fab lab project:

- Mel King, the leader of the South End Technology Center which is the home of the first fab lab, was profiled:
